Open Call for Proposals under the RIVCircular Project: Strengthening the Circular Economy in Greece
The RIVCircular project is co-funded by the European Commission’s Horizon Europe program and aims to create interconnected innovation ecosystems in eight European regions and countries, including Greece.
Thematic Areas for Greek Beneficiaries
Interested entities from Greece may submit proposals in the following three thematic areas:
-Construction and demolition waste (CDW) circularity
-Circular Energy Integration: Valorising local waste streams for industrial efficiency.
-Digital solutions for circular economy.
Proposals must be submitted exclusively online via the project’s official website: https://www.rivcircular.eu/call/ Please note that the official language for the submission of proposals and all deliverables is English.
Budget
Each organization may receive total funding of up to €600,000.
For Greek beneficiaries, the funding rate amounts to 100% of eligible expenses (a reimbursement model based on progress reports).
To ensure reimbursement, all costs must be directly linked to the project and incurred within the eligibility period.
• Personnel: Only project-related contract costs are eligible; the salaries of permanent public sector personnel are excluded.
• Travel: Expenses (subsistence, mileage, etc.) are reimbursed for project team members only, according to the limits set by Law 4336/2015.
• Equipment: All equipment must be registered in the entity’s Fixed Assets Registry.
• Overheads: Fixed operating costs or indirect costs could be up to 5% of the direct costs
• Ineligible Costs: Beneficiaries cannot claim bank charges, insurance premiums, fines, or penalties. Postage costs are eligible under conditions.
