The temperature storage is made of:
- a new patented binder that allows storage temperatures up to 1.300°C and
- natural materials
The heat storage can be used in two different ways. On the one hand it can be part of a CSP (concentrated solar power) systems. On the other hand it can also be used in industrial processes where it stores the emitted heat at one point in the process cycle and gives it back later in the procedure where needed.
Two types of storages were developed: a block-type and a granulate type. The chosen type depends on the application of the storage-system.
The volume of the storage depends on the surplus energy produced and the possible storage temperatures. Example: in order to store 50MW of thermal energy at 350°C in a block storage the size of about 150m³ volume is needed. At 1.000°C is only 50m³.
The company offers two alternatives for the potential partner: either they supply the storage ready to use including planning and construction or they only provide the storage material plus the technical concept if the planning and construction is done by the partner or customer itself.

The company is looking for energy plant operators (CSP, heavy industry), plant manufacturers or power authorities for a manufacturing agreement or subcontracting. They are also interested in partnerships with architects, engineers and planners advising companies from the industrial production sector.
